Refund Policy

When a charge can be refunded and how to ask for it.

Effective October 21, 20263 min read

This policy explains when RockPoint Online Traders LLC refunds a Summit charge, and how to ask. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

1How to ask

Email support@summitcut.com or use the contact form, and include:

  • the email address on your account
  • the order or receipt reference
  • the Plan concerned
  • what went wrong

We reply within 48 hours. Approved refunds return to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. You never need a reason to ask; this page explains when we will say yes.

2The 72-Hour Pass

The 72-Hour Pass costs $10.00 once, provides 72 consecutive hours of access, and never renews or converts. An entirely unused Pass is eligible for a full refund when requested within 14 days of purchase. A Pass used to access the studio is generally non-refundable for a change of mind, subject to service-failure remedies and applicable law. No future recurring charge can result from a Pass purchase.

3Monthly Plan charges

The Monthly Plan costs $34.22 for each 30-day period, with at most 12 successful charges. If you cancel, we stop future charges and you retain access for the paid period. A charge made after an effective cancellation is refunded in full. For an unwanted renewal, contact us within 14 days of the charge. We will refund it when the service was not substantially used during that paid period, subject to applicable law. An initial Monthly Plan purchase is not automatically refundable solely because you change your mind; service-failure and statutory rights still apply.

4The Monthly Plan

Cancellation ends future Monthly Plan billing without a cancellation fee. Ordinarily there is no partial-month refund for a paid 30-day period that was substantially used, but we review faults and exceptional circumstances individually. An early Monthly Plan purchase made during a Pass is a separate authorization; it does not turn the Pass into a subscription.

5What “substantially used” means

Substantial use generally means meaningful editing or export activity after the charge at issue, not merely signing in, viewing account details or cancelling. Because Summit edits locally and does not receive your video or project files, we do not claim to inspect those files. We may ask you to describe what happened and assess available account and payment records. We will not deny a refund solely because we lack evidence of local editing, and statutory refund rights are unaffected.

6When something is broken

If Summit does not work as described because of a fault on our side, the limits above do not apply. If the studio was unusable for a significant part of a paid period, tell us and we will refund or extend your access. When you paid for something that did not work, you are entitled to a remedy.

7Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can almost always resolve it faster, and a chargeback freezes the funds for weeks while it is investigated. If a chargeback is raised, we will respond with our records and may pause access while it is open.

8Refunds we decline

To be clear, we do not refund:

  • a period of the Monthly Plan you have substantially used, on a change of mind
  • a used 72-Hour Pass, on a change of mind
  • a request made more than 90 days after payment, unless the law requires otherwise
  • repeated buy-and-refund patterns that suggest the refund process is being used for free access

If we decline, we will tell you why in plain terms.

10Changes

We may update this policy. The version that applies to a charge is the one published when the charge was made.
