Privacy Policy

The personal data we handle, why we need it, and the choices you have.

Effective October 21, 20265 min read

This policy describes the personal information RockPoint Online Traders LLC (“we”, “us”) handles when you visit summitcut.com or use Summit, why we hold it, who else receives it, and what you can ask us to do with it. RockPoint Online Traders LLC is responsible for this information.

Summit is offered to people in the United States, and this policy is written for United States law, including California and other state privacy laws.

1In brief

  • Your videos, audio and images never reach us. Summit opens and edits them inside your browser, on your own computer.
  • We collect only what we need to give you access, take payment, and answer you.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • No advertising, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels on summitcut.com.
  • You can ask for a copy of your data, or for its deletion, at support@summitcut.com.

2Information you give us

InformationWhy we hold it
Email addressTo create your account, deliver access, send receipts and renewal reminders, and reply to you
NameTo identify your account and orders
Billing addressRequired by our payment processor, and kept for tax records
PasswordTo secure your account. We store only a salted hash, never the password itself
Plan and billing historyTo manage your Plan, renewals, cancellations and refunds
Support messages and attachmentsTo answer your request

We never receive your full card number. Card details go straight to our payment processor; we see only the card brand, the last four digits, the expiry date and a transaction reference.

3Information collected automatically

InformationWhy we hold it
IP address, in server logsSecurity, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis
Browser type and version, operating systemFault diagnosis, and deciding which browsers we support
Date and time of requestsSecurity and diagnostics
Sign-in session identifierTo keep you signed in (see the Cookie Policy)

4What stays on your device

Summit is built so that your creative work does not travel. The following are processed and stored by your browser on your own device, and are never transmitted to us:

  • The media files you import: video, audio and images
  • Your projects, saved in your browser’s storage so you can reopen them
  • The audio used for auto-captions, which is transcribed on your device
  • The videos you export, which your browser saves to your computer

Because we never hold this material, we cannot see it, recover it, or delete it for you. Clearing your browser data removes saved projects, so export anything you want to keep.

5What we do not do

  • We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
  • We do not build advertising or marketing profiles.
  • We do not buy personal data from data brokers.
  • We do not use your content, or anything you make with Summit, to train artificial-intelligence models.
  • Summit is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe a child has given us personal data, write to support@summitcut.com and we will delete it.

6Cookies and browser storage

We use only what is strictly necessary for the service you asked for: a sign-in cookie, and browser storage that keeps your projects and the caption model on your device. The Cookie Policy lists each item and explains how to clear it.

7Who receives personal information

We share personal information only with service providers that need it to run Summit, only for that purpose, and under contract to protect it.

No one receives your media or your audio. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example under a valid court order, or to establish or defend legal claims. If the business is sold or merged, information may transfer to the buyer, who would remain bound by this policy or give notice of a new one.

  • correct information that is inaccurate
  • delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
  • provide it in a portable, machine-readable format

Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by law, together with the right not to be discriminated against for using them. Our Do Not Sell or Share page explains California rights in detail.

To make a request, email support@summitcut.com. We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and complete them within 45 days, or tell you if we need an extension the law allows. 10Security

We protect information with encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed passwords, payment handling by a PCI DSS compliant processor, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires. See our Security page.
